51吃瓜网 Doncaster has been rated 鈥渙utstanding鈥� in all areas by Ofsted in the college鈥檚 first full inspection since opening in 2017.
In a glowing report following the inspection in December, Ofsted described the college as having 鈥渁 culture of very high expectations, which supports [students] to maximise their potential and achieve their aspirations.鈥�
Students, 鈥渂enefit from very high-quality teaching鈥�, 鈥渕ake rapid progress in developing the skills and knowledge鈥�, and 鈥渂enefit from excellent pastoral and academic support鈥�. 鈥淢ost students progress to higher education, including prestigious universities. The number of students from disadvantaged backgrounds who progress to higher education is particularly high.鈥�
Teachers, meanwhile, 鈥渃hallenge students to be the best that they can be鈥�, 鈥渄emonstrate a very comprehensive knowledge of their subjects and communicate this well to students鈥�, and 鈥渦se extensively the retrieval strategies 鈥� to support students to recall knowledge in the long term鈥�.
